Selenomax To Be Used In NIH-Funded Study

Purchase, NY-based Nutrition 21’s Selenomax® high selenium yeast is being used as the sole source of selenium in an NIH-funded study of selenium intervention in HIV-infected persons. The study, which has already begun patient enrollment, will be conducted at the University of Miami’s Behavioral Medicine Research Center. The 18-month double-blind, placebo-controlled study includes 280 patients and is the largest ever of its kind.
